Why it is so important that we all need to understand Dual Sensory Impairment?

Our hearing and sight are our distance senses without them our world becomes more dangerous and uncertain.

Many people think of hearing and vision decline as just part of aging. However, this gradual deterioration can significantly impact daily activities. Consider simple daily tasks and how difficult they become with worsening hearing and vision.

As our senses decline, we risk losing confidence in:

  • Mobility: Moving around and going places.
  • Accessing information: Reading, using phones, hearing conversations.
  • Communication: Connecting with others.

Without support, we may become isolated and lose independence. With guidance from trained professionals, we can manage these changes and maintain our abilities.
